JSON, clearly.
Validate, format and minify JSON. Find the error, tidy the response and get back to building.
Private by design. Your JSON stays in this browser tab. No account or upload.
Ready to validate. Your JSON stays in this tab.
Inspect a FileMaker JSON script parameter.
A script parameter can group several named values in one JSON object. Paste this example into the editor, then choose Format JSON:
{"contactID":"C-1042","action":"follow-up","options":{"sendEmail":false,"days":3}}You can now see the contact ID, action and nested options separately. Notice that false is a Boolean and 3 is a number; putting them in quotes would make them strings.
For an API response, use the same steps: format it, inspect the keys and types, then check them against the API documentation. Valid syntax does not confirm that an ID exists or that a request is safe to run. This tool does not execute a script or send an email.
Common JSON fixes.
- Use double quotes. Keys and string values need
"quotes", not single quotes. - Remove trailing commas. The last item before
}or]must not end with a comma. - Escape quotes inside strings. Write
\"for a quote and\\for a backslash. - Check value types.
"125"is valid JSON, but it is a string;125is a number. Syntax validation cannot tell which your API expects.
Useful with FileMaker.
Paste an API response or JSON script parameter to inspect its structure before using it in your solution. Format makes nested objects easier to read; Minify removes whitespace outside strings.
Large IDs, decimal notation, duplicate keys and key order remain exactly as supplied. Duplicate keys trigger a warning because other applications may keep only the last value.
This tool does not run FileMaker calculations or validate your application’s data rules.
Your data stays with you.
Processing happens in this tab. We count page loads using the page address and a broad referral category, with separate approximate country and device totals. These are aggregate counts, not unique visitors. Pasted JSON, output and clipboard contents are never included. There is no remote error reporting, content upload or saved input history.
Clear removes the input and output. Reloading starts fresh. Clipboard copies and downloaded files remain under your control. Browser privacy signals and the site’s analytics-off preference disable visit counting. The preference is saved locally; your JSON is not.
