FileMaker sample data generator
Create fictional contacts, projects and tasks with matching IDs. Repeat a dataset, test edge cases, and export CSV or JSON privately.
Your work stays in this browser tab. No account, upload or saved inputs.
A small dataset. Real relationships.
Contacts → Projects → Tasks. IDs are stable text values; every foreign key points to a generated parent. Use a separate practice file.
Inspect before you import.
View complete CSV text
Bring it into a FileMaker practice file.
- Create separate Contacts, Projects and Tasks tables. Use Text for IDs, foreign keys and PostalCode; Number for Budget and Hours.
- Download each CSV and import Contacts first, then Projects, then Tasks. Use the first row as column names. Preserve the supplied IDs; do not replace them with auto-enter values.
- Relate Projects::ContactID to Contacts::ContactID and Tasks::ProjectID to Projects::ProjectID. Names can repeat; IDs are the keys.
- Dates use YYYY-MM-DD. Verify your file’s date-import handling or import first into Text staging fields. An empty cell is an empty value, not a missing relationship.
- Check record counts and related records. The same settings and seed recreate the same dataset in this generator version.
Fictional test data only. Email addresses use example.com. CSV quoting does not force a spreadsheet to preserve text types. This tool creates files, not a FileMaker database or an import map for existing products.

Filesoft counts page loads and selected button clicks in aggregate. Input text, seeds, generated data and comparison results are never included. Browser privacy signals and the site’s analytics-off preference disable these counts.
